Do-It-Yourselfers Find Much to Like at ReStore
This week we found do-it-yourself hobbyist Laurie Moran shopping ReStore for her latest home-decorating project. Laurie isn’t new to ReStore; she has purchased many items for her creative projects, from hardware to wallpaper to plantation shutters, at the store. Sometimes Laurie’s ReStore purchases play a major role in bringing her ideas to life, like when she found a piece of decorative molding to frame off an open space in her kitchen above the microwave, or when she purchased plantation shutters and gave them a new look with a fresh coat of paint. Other times her ReStore finds are a small part of a project, like the time she purchased knobs to put on a dresser she found at a thrift store.
“I love this place,” Laurie says. “Not only are the prices great, but you feel like you’re giving back when you shop here.” Yes, ReStore’s prices are generally 50 to 75 percent off retail and all the proceeds from the store support Habitat’s mission of providing decent, affordable housing for families in our community. And, of course, purchasing gently used or new material that would likely be headed for a landfill if it wasn’t used is a great way to protect the environment.
Whatever the project, do-it-yourselfers can find lumber, tile, wallpaper, granite and much more at ReStore. How about you? Do you have a do-it-yourself project you can tell us about? We would love to hear about it!
