Customer Maria Paz Galey recently restored a damaged chair by recovering it to give it a new look. This project is simple and easy, perfect for any beginner!
To begin, unscrew the seat from the bottom of the chair. Place the seat face down onto any fabric and cut a piece that is three inches from each edge. Holding the fabric taut around the frame, attach it to the seat using a staple gun. After the new fabric is secure and snug, reattach the seat back to its frame. So easy!
ReStore has plenty of chairs that can be used for this project. A little creativity and some elbow grease can make this a cost efficient alternative to retail prices. Have fun choosing fabric to match any room’s décor!
