Must Try DIY: Specialty Paints

There is no quicker, easier and cheaper way to upcycle than with paint. But forget everyday wall paint. Here are 4 specialty paints that every DIY’er must try!

The projects below feature products easily found in Habitat ReStores.

#1.) Mirror-Effect

Transforming clear glass into a high style (and high price) mercury glass is easy!  Explore your local ReStore for ideas on creating your own DIY versions of a wide variety of products found in retail.

 #2.) Chalk Board

Chalkboard paint makes it easy to write on the walls, furniture, appliances and anywhere you want!  Get creative with this fun paint….

#3.) Milk Paint

Milk paint is probably THE oldest paint known to man and distresses furniture in an authentic, chippy, Shabby Chic sort of way.  The following projects are from Petticoat Junktion’s blog post 8 Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint Furniture Makeovers.
